Prophetic?
In my book, The Chronicles of the Watcher, in one of the stories called the American President; the president is the first African-American president in US history. In the story, as a candidate, president Roth is a senator. He runs against a white woman, and in the story the DNC convention is a brokered convention because the candidates are neck-to-neck. It parallels the current democratic candidates, senators Clinton and Obama. In addition, in the story the UN Secretary General is a Chinese. Currently, the UN Secretary General is an Asian.
Is this co-incidence? Or simply a prophetic glimpse into our future, especially
in the light of the upcoming presidential elections. Honestly, I don’t know.
I’m not quick to call myself a prophet, even thought the Lord uses me in
prophecy and others have tried to push the title of prophet on me. I do
however call people’s attention to Jesus, where attention and devotion belongs.
I have seen first hand the destruction created by people who call themselves
prophets; who establish “school of prophets”; and have built for themselves
financial empires built on the good faith of people who are seeking God.
If that is the measure of a modern-day prophet, then I am no prophet. I
do however note that in our days, the Lord is poring a prophetic anointing
in many Christian expressions such as art, music, dance, and works of literature.
I don’t mean that every expression is prophetic. Only that some contain
a glimpse, or a reflection of the end-times prophetic move of God.
For countless millennia they have been watching and recording the history of the universe in the light of God's revelatory program. From the creation of the cosmos to the last days of the Age of Men, The Chronicles of the Watcher delivers diverse tales that encompass the spectrum of human existence and experience. With the intensity of a warrior, the passion of an artist, and the gentleness of a scholar, the Watcher portrays the dynamic, powerful, passionate, and loving interaction of the Father with angels and fallen humanity as He directs and brings to a close the last chapters of human history in the Age of Men.
Apart
from being a great read, this book is quite unique. The decision was made
to submit the book is raw unedited format. The reasoning behind this was
that the "raw manuscript" format added to the authenticity of
the story. If these manuscripts were found in the future, why would they
be edited? While adding a higher literary quality to the end product,
editing would detract from the overall message of the book. No notices
were given of this to the reader. I trust my readers to come to this conclusion
on their own. Later editions will carry the editorial note.
Another
fact about the book is that at least 90% of the stories are based on real
life people and events. I hid their privacy by simply composite characters,
changing names, descriptions, culture, languages, and event time periods.
If you are a true lover of diverse literary genres, you will love my book.
